Ideal for school work and web browsing
I looked around netbooks some time before settling on the Samsung. It was on sale, so I gave it a shot. I had it for over a month, and I’m still happy with my purchase. I use it mainly for school work (word processing, PowerPoint, etc.) and web browsing.Because it’s a netbook, the processor will not be as powerful as many desktop computers. It took me a week or two to get used to programs starting slowly, but once they started working.
I am very pleased with the battery life. I usually turn it on for 10 hours and it still has 10% power left on 22 hours. It also accuses fast enough, so I never had to worry about the battery running at me when I’m in the middle of something. It is light, certainly lighter than my school books. I barely noticed when it is in my backpack.
I really like the keyboard on this netbook. I must say that I have small hands, but I find it easy to type. It’s roomy enough that I did not feel cramped, even painful after typing for a while. I rarely press a button that I do not want.
I watch TV online for about an hour or two every day, and the speakers are correct. I had a laptop speakers worst. The sound quality is fine, but the volume is too low. I highly recommend using headphones with this netbook.
I also recommend buying a mouse for use with this netbook. Often, when I scroll using the touchpad, I’ll click on the items that I did not. It can get a little messy and frustrating, but using a mouse clears all of these questions.
PROS:
+ Price, $ 50 cheaper than most other netbooks in the same class
+ Autonomy, with a power of 70% screen, it lasts almost all day
+ Easy to use, spacious keyboard and numerous function keys (volume, standby, etc.)
CONS:
+ Unsightly, but it is not necessarily a problem, many people want to cool laptops like the Apple brand. You will not find that with this Samsung.
+ Trackpad, sometimes indifferent and sometimes too responsive!
Overall I am very pleased with this Samsung. It gets the job done right. The price is reasonable, a good battery life, and is very simple and easy to use. I would recommend this product to other students who bring computers on campus and do not want to worry about finding an outlet!
